Background of the Invention Steve Berglund owner of Mastercraft® Solvent Free Dry Cleaning based in Fresno, California is the inventor of Handy Hamper. He wanted to provide himself and his dry-cleaning customers with a convenient way to bring in their laundry so he invented the Handy Hamper based on an idea he had from a regular old shopping bag. The design was similar, but he needed to make some modifications. He added hangers, used a light breathable fabric, added an identification card and adjusted the placement of the handles. The Handy Hamper has brought in over one-million garments to his dry cleaning business. In addition to bringing garments to his dry-cleaning shop, Steve and his wife realized that it was a great item to have in their home as well.
